About Elizabeth Evans, Esq.
Elizabeth (Liz) was born and raised in Central New York. She graduated from Clinton Senior High School with honors and a diploma of distinguished community service (representing 150+ hours of community service). Following her grandmother’s footsteps, she attended the College of St. Rose in Albany. Her grandmother graduated from St. Rose, as a teacher, with a strong value of education. Liz shared that value and graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree, dual majoring in History and Political Science, with a minor in French. She was accepted into the 3+3 Program with Albany Law School of Union University, which allowed her to earn her bachelor’s degree and Juris Doctorate in six years rather than seven.
Following her first year at Albany Law School, Liz wasn’t sure what area of the law she wanted to focus on. Her advisor, noting that Elizabeth had excelled in Property Law, recommended Estate Planning because the two disciplines require similar skill sets. She agreed, and received her J.D. from Albany Law School of Union University in 2008, triple concentrating on Estate Planning, Tax Law, and Business Law. At EPLC, Liz works primarily on Estate Planning, Medicaid Planning, and Estate and Trust Administration.
In her practice, Liz listens closely to her clients’ concerns and goals and then focuses on education to provide all the information they need to make informed decisions about their options. Liz’s clients know how and why their plans will work, and as a result, they enjoy the peace of mind that comes from having an effective plan in place for the future.
When she’s not working, Liz enjoys spending time with her “lake friends” at the family camp built by her grandfather in the Adirondacks. In early 2019, she lost her best friend, her dog “Old Man” Cam, a lab mix she rescued from the shelter 18 years before. She has since rescued another dog, Cal, who enjoys walks, car rides, and the lake as well.
